World's Best New Course 2024
One of the most dramatic new courses in the Indian Ocean. Co-designed by Open Champion Louis Oosthuizen alongside a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Links Architecture
The Indian Ocean's only contemporary links course: sculpted dunes, coastal grasses, and wind-exposed greens modelled on the great Irish and Scottish links.
Open Champion Design
2010 Open Champion Louis Oosthuizen co-designed the layout, bringing true championship pedigree to every hole.
Panoramic Vistas
The course descends 190 metres from the first tee, with Indian Ocean views visible from every single tee box and green on the property.
Course Overview
Opened in December 2023, La Réserve Golf Links is the Indian Ocean's first and only contemporary links course — a bold, wind-swept 18-hole layout co-designed by 2010 Open Champion Louis Oosthuizen and master architect Peter Matkovich. The course descends 190 metres from the first tee to the clubhouse across former sugar-cane fields, with panoramic Indian Ocean views from every single tee and green.
Sculpted dunes, coastal grasses, and the dramatic waterfall carry on the 16th define a course that stormed to the summit of African golf rankings in its very first year. Hosted on the Domaine de Bel Ombre estate alongside the Heritage Le Château course, it is the most coveted tee time on the island and exclusive to Heritage Resorts guests and members.

The Split
Par 4 · 395mA defining test featuring a split fairway and large waste area with mounding guarding the green — precision over distance is rewarded.
The Waterfall

The Dunes
Par 3 · 165mEnfolded by rolling dunes in the manner of the great Irish links, the par-3 17th sits hard against the coast, wind-exposed and visually spectacular.

EastAnahita Golf
Designed by golfing icon and former world number one Ernie Els, Anahita Golf Club is one of Mauritius's most celebrated and internationally acclaimed courses. Unveiled in 2008, the 18-hole course was crafted to blend seamlessly into its natural surroundings, with sprawling fairways stretching along the coastline and numerous holes offering breathtaking vistas of the crystalline turquoise lagoon. Built to meet international standards and drawing on Els's extensive experience across courses worldwide, Anahita appeals to golfers of all skill levels — a feast for the eyes as much as a genuine challenge. The course has also earned its place on the professional circuit, most notably hosting the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, where rising French star Matthieu Pavon secured a remarkable second-place finish in 2018. Pavon has since named Anahita as one of his favourite destinations for both leisure and golf — a testament to the enduring appeal of a course where world-class design meets one of the Indian Ocean's most stunning natural settings.
WestParadis Beachcomber Golf
When nature gifts you a breathtaking vista, the only fitting response is to build a breathtaking golf course around it. Designing and maintaining exceptional courses has been a Beachcomber specialty for decades, with greens and fairways carved into some of Mauritius's most spectacular landscapes. Whether you're a weekend amateur or a seasoned player, Beachcomber's courses deliver an experience that matches your passion for the game. Four dedicated golf resorts — Paradis Beachcomber, Dinarobin Beachcomber, Trou aux Biches Beachcomber, and Canonnier Beachcomber — form one of the finest collections of golf destinations on the island. At the heart of the offering sits the Paradis Golf Club, an 18-hole par 72 championship course stretching 5,924 metres, widely regarded as one of the best golf facilities in Mauritius.
